Superintendent

This individual will be responsible for a wide range of activities that support field operations, with direct reporting to a project executive. This individual will coordinate and manage all on-site activities, as well as work with their project team to deliver a high-quality project(s) for our clients. Basic computer skills, a can-do attitude, a professional appearance, and the and the ability to multi-task are necessary skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Duties include but are not limited to including:
  • Provide overall project site coordination and supervision of day-to-day field activities.
  • Develop and proactively manage 3-week look-ahead schedules to ensure activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
  • Generate RFI’s as required.
  • Lead daily meetings with subcontractors.
  • Order equipment, tools, and materials in a timely fashion
  • Follow the construction budget.
  • Participate in pre-construction, progress, and other projects and staff meetings.
  • Maintain paperwork, including field reports, daily logs, safety inspection reports, schedule updates, and weekly progress reports.
  • Obtain all inspections.
  • Mentor and train field personnel.
  • Ensure all aspects of the project are compliant with contract terms.
  • Ensure that all work, whether performed by company forces or by subcontractors, meets the highest standard of quality workmanship.
  • Ensure job site safety and maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other team members.
  • Maintain/review punch list items to ensure timely completion.
  • Set performance goals and deadlines.
  • Ensure safety and quality guidelines are met.
  • Order appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.
  • Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
  • Other duties could include:
    • Working on project pursuits
    • Provide feedback on processes and procedures.
    • Review and or writing scopes of work.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • Previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role.
  • Proficient knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
  • In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Must be able to lead and inspire.
